North Dallas area, Prosper, Frisco, Aubrey, Celina, Little Elm, McKinney. We service areas within a 15-mile radius of zip code 75078. There is a nominal travel charge outside our coverage area.
How can I find out if I'm outside your coverage area?
At checkout, enter your address, and it will calculate the distance. If you are outside of our coverage area, a travel charge will be added to your cart.
I want to watch a Netflix movie, is that possible?
Yes, our equipment will stream services (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Disney+) with our outdoor setup. You must have a strong enough Wi-Fi signal in your backyard. You can purchase a Wi-Fi booster or a 100 to 200-foot Cat 7 Ethernet cable for a direct connection from Amazon.
What’s the best time to start a backyard movie night?
The best time to view a movie is typically 30 to 45 minutes after sunset.
How do I set up cozy seating for my backyard theater?
We provide LED seats and lounge chairs with most of our movie packages. You can rent extra chairs if needed.
What weather conditions should I be aware of before setting up?
It is always best to check a weather app and look at a 10-day forecast when determining your movie date.
What are the wind limits for a movie night?
When the wind speed is 12 mph or higher, it is best to reschedule for another day.
Will I have to pay again if it is too windy or raining?
No. We can reschedule your movie event for another day.
How long does it take to set up and break down?
Depending on the package you choose, it typically takes us about 2+ hours to set up and about 2 hours to break down.
Do I need a license to show movies in my backyard?
You do not need a license to show movies in your backyard.
You do need a license if you plan to show the movie in a public setting.
Does Backyard Movie Theater get the license if I want to show a movie at our community pool?
Backyard Movie Theater provides the setup; you would be responsible for securing the license for viewing from Swank.com.
Am I able to upgrade my package after booking?
Yes. Oftentimes, people decide to rent extra chairs, a popcorn machine, or a red carpet for a Hollywood experience.
What size is your screen?
We have a 16-foot screen and a 24-foot screen, measured diagonally.
What are some ways to keep bugs away during the movie?
Use citronella candles, bug-repellent sprays, or outdoor fans to keep mosquitoes at bay.
